New Kubota BX80 Series Sub-Compact Tractors Available Now

On the 4th– 6th of October New Zealand dealers attended the Australasian Conference held in Kubota Australia’s head office city of Melbourne to help celebrate 40 years of Kubota in Australasia. While there the exciting new BX80 range was launched. The new BX80 product line will be available in New Zealand from April 2018 through its network of dealers.

The all-new BX80-Series includes three new tractor models: BX2380, BX2680 and BX23S, which leads the sub-compact tractor class with our exclusive Swift-Tach loader and Swift-Connect backhoe as standard equipment. Combining Kubota reliability and power with unmatched versatility and intuitive, easy-to-operate design, the BX80-Series is ideal for residential property owners.

"We are thrilled that the new BX80-Series has finally arrived; they are a superior product compared to anything currently in the sub-compact market,” said Shaun Monteith (Monty), sales manager for Kubota agricultural equipment New Zealand. "Kubota’s previous line, the BX70-Series, built its stellar reputation based on the fact that it’s the little orange tractor that would run forever. Now, Kubota has ‘upped the ante’ with the new BX80-Series, taking the sub-compact category to a whole new level with its new Swift-Tach loader, Swift-Connect backhoe, and Easy-Over mower deck option. Across the dealer network anticipation has been building for the arrival of new BX80-Series. We anticipate them to move quickly off our showroom floors.”

Kubota created the sub-compact market category in 2000 with the first introduction of the BX sub-compact tractor. The new BX80-Series was immediately met with excitement and orders, which will be arriving at Kubota dealerships nationwide from April 2018.

Kubota has taken their experience and existing customer feedback during the last 17 years to enhance performance and ease-of-use with this exciting new BX80-Series, we’re excited and encouraged about the initial consumer response. The new BX-Series truly is the perfect choice for first-time tractor buyers, and is sure to be the sharpest looking tool in your garage.

The BX2380 and BX2680 are equipped with a rollover protection system, which now conveniently fits through most standard 2.135m high garage door openings. The series blends ease of operation and unmatched versatility with the legendary reliability of Kubota diesel engines. The BX2380 and BX2680 deliver 23, and 25.5 horsepower, respectively. A 23 horsepower engine brings Kubota reliability and superior torque to the new BX23S tractor-loader-backhoe model. Kubota’s powerful and efficient, liquid-cooled 3-cylinder diesel engines, combined with four-wheel drive, provide traction and confidence for completing the job while using less fuel than gasoline engines.

Easy-to-Attach Tools Transform the BX80 into Versatile Machine

The new BX80-Series makes it easier than ever to attach the complete line of tools and implements. The LA344 Swift-Tach loader, offered for the BX2380 and BX2680, and the LA340 Swift-Tach loader for the BX23S, can be removed or attached without the operator leaving the operator’s station.

A complete line of rear mounted Land Pride implements are easily attached with the standard Category I 3-point hitch. All three BX80 tractors offer multiple deck options, including the Easy Over deck, Kubota’s easy to use drive over deck.

From the moment it is delivered, the BX23S is ready to tackle any tough job with its standard-equipped and industry-leading LA340 Swift-Tach loader and all-new BT603 Swift-Connect backhoe. The Kubota Swift-Tach system provides unmatched ease in removing and attaching the front loader, while the BT603 Kubota Swift-Connect backhoe is easy to remove without tools, without any pins to store or lose. All BX80-Series loaders and the BT603 backhoe include upgraded flat-faced couplers that do not seep fluid when released or installed, and are easy to connect, even under pressure. A boom lock, for increased safety, is standard on the BT603. A mechanical thumb, for picking up items such as logs, is optional on the new BX23S.

The hardworking BX80-Series tractors build on Kubota’s legendary operator ergonomics and user-intuitive operator controls to make it easier and more comfortable for the operator during any job. The easy-to-read modern dash displays all information needed for operation, and a cubby hole with a 12-volt outlet provides a cell phone charging port. The improved deluxe seat and tilt steering on the BX2380 and the BX2680 is now more comfortable for a better operator ride and improved adjustability while increasing operator comfort.

A new design for the distinctive BX-Series front grill guard, which protects the tractor front end, matches the contours of the new aesthetically pleasing tractor design. The full-forward opening hood offers easy cleaning and service access to the top-of-class Kubota diesel engine, which requires less maintenance than gasoline engines.
